Our laboratories have been able to replace the acrylic resins (normally part of every solid surface material) with vegetable origin (maize) resins: the Domustone Pure® solid surface is 100% eco-friendly, recyclable and sustainable.

DAILY CARE
using soap and water or common detergents to remove most of the dirt and stains that may be deposited on the surface. It is particularly recommended to rinse the surface well and to use gel or abrasive detergents with abrasive sponges like “Scotch Brite©” : doing that way, the original matt finish, distinguishing feature of
Domustone Pure®, will keep untouched.

HOW TO PREVENT FROM DAMAGES
The surface is generally strongly resistant against stains and spots; nonetheless aggressive chemical products, such as acetone, trichloroethylene, strong acids or bases are not recommended.

HOW TO REMOVE PERSISTENT STAINS, SCRATCHES AND BURNING RINGS

Domustone Pure® is an homogeneous material in all its thickness and depth, thus it can restore its surface original beauty from aggressive agents, such as scratches, burning rings from cigarettes and persistent stains, simply by following these instructions: as for small damages, use an abrasive Scotch Brite© (3M trademark) sponge and a common abrasive detergent to restore the surface. Rub superficially the damaged part down.

TO USE
Powder or cream detergents like JIF©, VIM© or similar, containing micro-granules with abrasive action on the surface.

NOT TO USE
Solvent agents like acetone or trichloroethylene, as well as other aggressive chemical substances like strong acids (muriatic acid…) or bases (caustic soda…). Detergents for industrial use or others of unknown aggressive action: in this case a test on a spot not in view should be done before application. Very aggressive substance generally used to clear sink pipes. Solvents used in the painting industry.

DOMUSTONE ®

-SHOWER FLOORS

Domustone® is a technologically advanced and unique composite material formed by a high percentage of natural mineral charges (calcium carbonate) and a low percentage of polyester and acrylic polymers of high purity. It is an inert, hypoallergenic, hygenic, UV resistant, heavy duty and non-toxic material. There is no quartz (crystalline silica) in it, it is a completely different material to engineered stone. The technical coating grants excellent performances against scratches, abrasions, stains and allow for an easy cleaning with the most common detergents.

DAILY CARE
The care of Domustone® prducts is quick and easy. To remove most kinds of stains, such as lime or dirt marks that normally appear on the surface, simply clean using a damp cloth or a non-abrasive sponge and a normal non-abrasive detergent. Carefully rinse the surface. We recommend JIF CREAM to be applied with a cotton cloth or a non-abrasive sponge.

HOW TO PREVENT DAMAGES
Do not clean with detergents or abrasive sponges. Do not use wire wool. Although this product is heat-resistant, do not place any burning-hot object or pour any boiling fluid on its surface. It is recommended not to use aggressive chemical solvents such as acetone, trichloroethylene or other strong acid or basic solvents.

REMEDIES FOR INCIDENTALLY OCCURRED DAMAGES
The gel coating on the surface is extremely hard and durable but scratches due to incorrect use of the product may occurs.
In case of surface scratches on Domustone® Shower Floors, it is possible to use the Domus Living Repair Pen to roll on the top of the scratch. There is a pen for every colour of shower floor. You can buy the repair pen in any Domus Living retail shop across Australia.
